Fabulous Place in a quiet area
We had a corner junior suite and it was great with a huge balcony. Breakfast outside by the pool. Located in a very quiet area.
Beware there is no elevator it's difficult to climb with heavy luggage. Lots of mosquitoes. We were bitten despite having plug in repellants in the room. The bed area had a bit of a slope downwards which the hotel can't change but it is apparent. Note the drinks in the fridge cost approx US$4 per bottle.

Very charming little boutique hotel with incredibly friendly staff, and one of the most comfy beds I've slept in
Some of the aspects of the room are a bit older, but if you just accept that it's no issue -- everything is super clean and comfortable, in a beautiful location

Perfect for romantic getaways
My wife and I went to La Viuda as part of a weekend getaway for her birthday. It was an amazing experience from the moment we stepped into the property. The staff is amazing and the location of the hotel is hard to beat. We'll be back for sure.

What was the highlight of La Viuda de José Ignacio Hotel
We would love to come back.
We were there at the end of October, long before the season, but everything was available in the hotel. Pool, rental bikes and whirlpool. Great breakfast in the garden. The owners are super friendly and take care of all your needs. Highly recommended, we'd love to come back.
